We finished LOST AND FOUND and our new homework book is entitled A MATTER OF TRUST. We read chapters 1 and 2 last week and will continue to read two chapters a week throughout the month of November.

HOMEWORK FOR 9/29-10/2
Beginning this week the students will be taking the book LOST AND FOUND home to read for homework. Specific pages are assigned daily (adding up to 2 chapters a week) and the students will be responsible for the information they read in class the next day.
Students need to read the following pages in the book LOST AND FOUND and enter a response in their purple reading log daily:
9/29 - pgs 29-34
9/30 - pgs 35-43
10/1 - pgs 44-51
10/2 - pgs 52-57
I collect the reading logs on Friday. Please have your guardians or siblings read with you - it will be more fun to have someone to talk about the book with!
WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!
It was great to meet some of your families at Back to School Night this week! I look forward to meeting the rest of you soon!
We are going to make our class notebooks next week, so please remember to bring your 5 star, 3 subject notebook to class on Monday! I have them for sale for $5 if you can't find one in the store.
Students in my class have homework EVERY NIGHT, except Fridays. They are to read for 30 minutes and write in their purple reading logs. I collect the reading logs on Fridays. Students can read any book or magazine they like for the rest of September and then in October we will begin reading "Lost and Found" every night for homework. I will post the assigned pages each week.
